Proactively protect the citizens of Texas in an ever changing threat environment while always remaining faithful to the U.S.and State Constitutions.
Our Philosophy
The men and women of DPS have been entrusted with a vitally important mission, immense responsibility and substantial discretionary authority; therefore, it is critical that every member of the department perform their duties professionally and ethically, and consistently adhere to the DPS core values of Integrity, Excellence, Accountability and Teamwork in all situations.
